PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray apparatus including a hand switch for X-ray irradiation in which the condition of the apparatus can be grasped even when an operator is not present in the vicinity of an operation panel. SOLUTION: The operator removes a hand switch for irradiation from the operation panel and holds it in his or her hand laying a subject on a photographing platform, and push a first stage photographing standby switch 3a paying attention to the subject. The X-ray apparatus prepares X-ray irradiation completes the preparation after the lapse of a predetermined time, thereafter a green light emitting color from a printed circuit board 18 mounting light emitting diodes within a light shielding case 19 diffuses in a light diffusing case 17 to inform the completion of the preparation. Thereafter, the operator pushes a second stage photographing switch 4a responding to the time of the subject stopping breathing. An orange light emitting color from the printed circuit board 18 mounting the light emitting diodes diffuses in the light diffusing case 17 to inform that the X-ray irradiation is normally performed.
