<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, an information processing method, and a program for the same capable of controlling a printing device having a shift ejection function so that shift ejection is performed by arbitrary unit in a document file. <P>SOLUTION: When a book file 103 has division attributes to make a division into a subset of a plurality of pages in the book file 103, for example, documents, sections, chapters, or pages, a bookbinding application 104 sets in the respective parts and the respective chapters shift ejection attributes according to the division attributes. Next, by using the functions of an electronic original despooler 105, a printer driver 106, and an OS, the book file 103 and the set shift ejection attributes are converted into printing data and shift ejection attribute data that can be processed by the printer 107.
