PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image area dividing program and an image area dividing device suitable for dividing a prescribed image into a plurality of appropriate sized image areas. SOLUTION: An image area dividing device 1 includes an image area dividing program 10, a CPU 11, a RAM 12, and a bus 13; and the image area dividing program 10 includes a dividing condition obtaining part 10a, an image dividing part 10b, an initial division processing part 10c, a first attribute information setting part 10d, a first attribute information updating part 10e, a center-of-mass cell setting part 10f, a second attribute information setting part 10g, and a second attribute information updating part 10h.
