<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automotive pedal support structure capable of ensuring the reliable operation. <P>SOLUTION: A second pedal bracket 25 is swingably provided via a bracket support shaft 28 fixed to an upper part of a first pedal bracket 20 fixed to a dash-panel 3, and a brake pedal 11 is fitted to a pedal support shaft 27 fixed to the second pedal bracket 25. Both the first and second pedal brackets 20 and 25 are fixed by a bolt 37. In a regulating/deregulating member 32 to regulate the swinging of the second pedal bracket 25, a rear end wall 39 thereof is collided with an instrument member 7 upon collision of an automobile, and the regulating/deregulating member 32 is moved forward. Then, an arm 40 extending upwardly from the second pedal bracket 25 is moved by the instrument member 7, thus rotating the second pedal bracket25 to urge the pedal support shaft 27 in a relatively backwardly displacing direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
