An overload preventive device of a motor for a vacuum cleaner is provided to increase sealing efficiency in contacting an opening and closing part to an opening part by forming the tapered opening and closing part, and to cut down manufacturing cost by reducing the number of parts. An overload preventive device(100) of a motor for a vacuum cleaner is composed of a damper body(101) selectively shutting off a tapered opening part(113) formed in a body frame of the vacuum cleaner and having an opening and closing part(101a) tapered corresponding to the opening part, and an elastic member elastically supporting the opening and closing part to close the opening part. The damper body is turned and installed to selectively open and close the opening part, and combined with the body frame by a rotating shaft formed in an end of the damper body and a hinge part protruded from the body frame and composed of a shaft hole in which the rotating shaft is mounted.
