PURPOSE: An automatic mirror setting device and a method of a vehicle are provided to regulate the reflection angle of each mirror by estimating body shapes of drivers and the position of a head from data output based on the standard body shape from the position of a seat track and the angle of a backrest and to reduce the mirror setting time. CONSTITUTION: An automatic mirror setting device of a vehicle is composed of a unit(10) for detecting the position of a sliding seat track; a unit(20) for detecting the angle of a backrest that is tilted longitudinally; a memory unit(30) for setting reference data about the position of heads and a standard body shape according to the position of a seat and the angle of the backrest as a table; a control unit(40) for extracting the body shape of a driver and an expected position of the head by analyzing information about the position of the seat track and the angle of the backrest through the reference data table set in the memory and then regulating the reflection angle of the mirror by extracting the rotational angle of each mirror according to the expected position of the head; plural actuators(A1,A2,A3) driven by a control signal of the control unit to adjust each reflection angle of left and right side mirrors and a room mirror; and plural sensing units(S1,S2,S3) for collecting position information about the reflection angle of each mirror according to the driving of the actuators and applying the information to the control unit as a feedback signal.
