LOSS-PREVENTING DEVICE OF AN UNDERWATER DETECTOR CAPABLE OF PREVENTING LOSS OF THE UNDERWATER DETECTOR

PURPOSE: A loss-preventing device of an underwater detector is provided to prevent the underwater detector from being lost by making an indication buoy automatically float on the water to easily know the position of the underwater detector when a traction cable is cut while the underwater detector is pulled. CONSTITUTION: In a loss-preventing device of an underwater detector(1), fastening holes(2) are formed in the upper part of the streamline underwater detector and a fastening unit(4) of a traction cable is fixed to the fastening holes by a pin to pull the underwater detector to a research vessel(6). The underwater detector and the fastening unit are connected by an auxiliary traction rope(11). An indication buoy(8) connected by a buoy rope is fixed to the underwater detector by a fixing pin(9). The fixing pin and the fastening unit are connected by a fixing pin pull rope(10) having length longer than the length of the auxiliary traction rope and having weak strength. If the auxiliary traction rope is cut, the indication buoy floats on the water.
