FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a high quality image free from paper wrinkling or deviation in an image over a long period of time by achieving stability in carrying ability of recording paper in a fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device is provided with: a fixing roll 61 which can be turned; an endless belt 62 which can be moved while in contact with the fixing roll 61; and a pressing pad 64 which is installed inside the endless belt 62 and bring the endless belt 62 into pressurized contact with the fixing roll 61 to form a nip part N between the fixing roll 61 and the endless belt 62, for passing paper P therethrough. The fixing device is further provided with a lubricant coating member 67 coating the inner periphery surface of the endless belt 62 with lubricant and a lubricant controlling member 80 controlling the coated amount of the lubricant on the inner periphery surface of the endless belt 62 by the lubricant coating member 67.
