OPTICAL FIBER CABLE, AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable for quickly performing easy and speedy branching work of coated optical fibers, and to provide a method and device for manufacturing the optical fiber cable. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 10 is provided with coated optical fiber ribbons 20 formed by integrating a plurality of coated optical fibers 21 with a tape resin 22 in spiral slots 13 formed at spacers 11. This coated optical fiber ribbon 20 is provided with parting sections 20a by which the coated optical fibers 21 are parted into every single coated fiber or every two or more coated fibers by separating a space between coated optical fiber 21 from the neighboring one along the longitudinal direction. The coated optical fiber ribbons 20 are housed in the slots 13 so that the parted parts 20a are located in a reverse section 13a where the spiral direction of the slot 13 is reversed.
