PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anaerobic cleaning method for contaminated soil capable of certainly feeding nutrient of an anaerobic microorganism to be removed to the whole area while ensuring freedom on ground and reducing a facility cost of a cleaning device, and the cleaning device. SOLUTION: In the anaerobic cleaning method for contaminated soil, after at least a horizontal area of the contaminated soil 3 in the ground is specified, the cleaning device 8 comprising an assembly of pipes for feeding the nutrient 18 of the anaerobic microorganism to near center depth of the contaminated soil is horizontally arranged and thereafter the nutrient of the anaerobic microorganism is fed to the contaminated soil through the every pipes. Further, in the method, the cleaning device 8 is constituted as a nutrient feed part of a predetermined length and is horizontally moved/arranged and the nutrient 18 is fed to the horizontal area.
