PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition polymerizable by cationic polymerization, readily curable by irradiation of active energy rays or heating and forming a cured film having excellent water and solvent resistances. SOLUTION: The curable composition comprises an epoxy compound represented by general formula (1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>denotes a 2-4C alkylene group; R<SP>2</SP>denotes a methyl group or a hydrogen atom; m and n denote each an integer of 0-4; m+n is 0-4; and q denotes an integer of 0-10] and having norbornane rings.
