The brewing device includes a lift mechanism connected to the upper part (2) of the brewing chamber (18) and moved by a threaded mechanism which has an operating part (33) which rotates about a vertical axis (A) and a longitudinally guided press-up part (31) which is connected to the upper part (2) of the brewing chamber. The actuating member and the longitudinally guided press-up part are screwed together telescopically through the threaded mechanism whereby the actuating part is secured in its axial position.
