<p>The invention concerns a method for making secure a pedestrian crossing (1) which consists in: detecting the vehicles (10) approaching the pedestrian crossing (1) by performing a measurement in order to estimate a time theta at which the vehicle reaches the pedestrian crossing and, upon detection of said vehicle, in broadcasting a warning message for pedestrians, at latest at a time theta - T, where T is a predetermined duration representing the average time interval a pedestrian takes to walk across the pedestrian crossing. A warning message is also broadcast for motorists approaching the pedestrian crossing.</p> |
