<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient water heater requiring no neutralizing treatment for drain water. <P>SOLUTION: A passage for combustion exhaust air passing through a main heat exchanger 18 is parted into a first exhaust chamber 23 having a subsidiary heat exchanger 19 and a second exhaust chamber 24 having a drain evaporator. Thus, high temperature combustion exhaust air passing through the main heat exchanger 18 only is supplied into each of the subsidiary heat exchanger 19 and the drain evaporator 100. As a result, the subsidiary heat exchanger 19 uses high temperature combustion exhaust air for efficient heat recovery and the drain evaporator 100 uses high temperature combustion exhaust air for efficient drain evaporation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
