The container (1) has a filling and emptying device, preferably with a pump for filling and emptying, and possibly a vacuum compressor for evacuating the tank, an associated line system (7,8,12) and a drive unit for the pump, which can preferably be connected to the drive shaft of a tractor vehicle. The line system has an overflow line (7) with a valve (13) controlled by ambient pressure and is arranged between an overflow opening (6) in the tank and a suction port (8) for sucking the liquid.
