PURPOSE: A built-in motor embedding spindle system is provided to analyze the thermal characteristic of a spindle according to cooling characteristic by three-dimension abnormal heat transfer analysis. CONSTITUTION: A built-in motor embedding spindle system executes design optimatization of a 8-pole radial heteropolar magnetic bearing for satisfying demand, performance limit, and design limit of a spindle system for a super high machine tool mounted with a magnetic bearing and maximizing levitation force. In analyzing the cooling characteristic of three kinds of spindles for two kinds of RPM(Revolution Per Minute), the temperature of a spindle according to the increase of cooling-flow is lowered rapidly for same RPM and accordingly the cooling effect is increased. If over a predetermined flow, the cooling effect is decreased and the temperature of a rotor of a motor is kept high. The cooling effect of temperature difference of 15 deg.C and thermal deformation of 5 micro meters is increased for 45000RPM better than 2000RPM.
