PURPOSE: A method for displaying a usable battery time of a mobile terminal is provided to previously measure a usable time for a voltage value of a battery to store the measured results, and to periodically measure a battery voltage, thereby informing a user of a standby time and a call enable time. CONSTITUTION: A system measures a battery voltage. The system retrieves a lookup table related to a usable time of a mobile terminal, which is stored in a memory, by using the measured battery voltage, and obtains the usable time of the mobile terminal according to a linear interpolation method. The system displays the obtained usable time of the mobile terminal on a display. When the usable time is less than a predetermined threshold value, the system periodically generates an alarming sound.
