摘要 <p>PURPOSE: Provided are a porous hydrophilic polyurethane carrier used to adhere microorganism for the treatment of wastewater which is excellent in mechanical properties, hydrophilicity and the adhesion of nitrifying bacteria easily adhered to a hydrophilic medium and maintains a wastewater treatment efficiency to be high even in case of the increase of nitrogen load, and its preparation method. CONSTITUTION: The porous hydrophilic polyurethane carrier has a water content of 50-96 %, a contact angle of 10-40 degrees and a bulk density of 0.015-0.045 g/cm¬3. Preferably the polyurethane carrier is prepared by foaming a networked hydrophilic polyurethane obtained by the reaction of a polyol having two hydroxyl groups per a molecule and having a molecular weight of 800-5,000 g/mol, a crosslinking agent having three to six hydroxyl groups per a molecule, a C1-C6 alkanediol chain extender, and an aromatic polyisocyanate having two or three isocyanate groups per a molecule.</p>
