PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having a remote controller connection unit is provided to exchange data by connecting the remote controller connection unit to an external device and make the mobile terminal compact by omitting installation of a receptacle. CONSTITUTION: A main body part(10) includes a circuit unit for controlling communication and storing data. A folder part(20) includes an LCD(21). A hinge part(30) rotatably connects the folder part(20) to the main body part(10). A remote controller connection unit(120) is formed at one side of the hinge part(30) so as to be insertedly connected with an ear-microphone plug. Power terminals(123) have circular shape, are formed at one side of the hinge part(30), supply remote controller operation power when a remote controller is used, and supply battery charge power when a charger is used. A reference potential(ground(GND)) terminal(122) provides a reference potential with respect to operation power. A plurality of signal exchange terminals transmit a control command and data except for power.
