<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming method which prevents image omission and image elongation on a transfer medium passing through a transfer nip and failure in conveying it. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method is for obtaining an image output in such a manner that an electrostatic latent image formed on a latent image carrier 100 which freely rotates is rendered visible and the visible image is transferred to a transfer medium S and then the transferred image is fixed. The coefficient of the friction between the transfer medium S and a transfer member 104 used for transfer is set lower than the coefficient of the friction between the transfer medium S and the latent image carrier 100. In addition, the moving speed of the transfer member 104 is set higher than the moving speed of the latent image carrier 100. Separately from a conveying member 107 which, under such conditions, conveys the transfer medium from a media storage part toward a transfer position where a transfer member 104 is disposed, a sub-conveying part PA including one or more sub-conveying members 109 capable of conveying the transfer medium while sandwiching it is provided. The transfer medium is conveyed to the transfer position while the speed at which the transfer medium S is moved by the conveying member 107 is maintained by the sub-conveying member 109. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
