PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-on switch used for various electronic apparatuses and operated by pushing it horizontally to a wiring board surface, capable of stably maintaining its mounting condition for the wiring board including the case in which repeated pushing operation is horizontally applied to it. SOLUTION: Only a front terminal 33 derived from a case 21 is vertically extended downward to form this surface mounting type push-on switch which can be fixed by soldering in the through hole of the land part 42 with the through hole on the wiring board 41. Thereby, the front terminal 33 functions as a maintenance means to maintain the stable mounting condition, the push-on switch on which enhanced yield strength against operating force applied horizontally to the wiring board surface is enhanced can be obtained.
