PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the clogging of piping by preventing the adhesion of a soft foreign matter consisting of an organic matter to the inside of the piping. SOLUTION: The waste treatment method has a hydrothermal reaction process for liquefying organic waste X held to a high-pressure/high-temperature state to obtain a treated liquid Y and a pressure reducing process for reducing the pressure of the treated liquid Y and also has a cooling process for directly mixing a cooling medium Z with the treated liquid Y before the pressure reducing process to cool the treated liquid Y.
