EXHAUST GAS CLEANING CATALYST AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst which has large specific surface area and exhibits high heat resistance and high cleaning performance of the exhaust gas.

SOLUTION: The exhaust gas cleaning catalyst constituted so that ceria and a noble metal are deposited highly dispersedly on alumina is obtained by using water and butanediol or ethylene glycol as a solvent, adding a noble metal source to the solvent together with an aluminum source and a cerium source to prepare slurry and subjecting the obtained slurry to hydrothermal synthesis.
