<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressed air supply system suitable for use of a heavy duty vehicle such as a truck or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The compressed air supply system includes a compressor and an air dryer connected so as to receive a compressed air from the compressor. The dryer includes a desiccant layer through which the compressed air flows to supply dried compressed air, and an operable blow through valve so as to connect the desiccant layer to the atmosphere. A second and a first tanks located apart from the dryer are connected so as to receive the dried compressed air from the dryer. A control component integrated into the dryer is provided to control an air flow from the air compressor through the above dryer to control filling operation in order to fill the first and second tanks with the dried compressed air. Further, on the one hand, to purge the dryer, from the second tank through the desiccant layer of the dryer, the air flow is controlled to the atmosphere through the blow through valve to control the purge operation.
