PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a thin client system to enable even low-specification hardware to efficiently process Internet data with a high specific weight in multimedia data. SOLUTION: A multimedia data processing apparatus 100 includes a first data processing part 140 which (a) requests Internet contents by connecting to a thin client server 300 via a thin client protocol when there is an Internet service request from a user, (b) decodes screen information associated with general Internet data, the picture information being transmitted from the thin client server 300, and displaying the information on a display device 200, (c) downloads multimedia data corresponding to the information associated with the multimedia data, the information being transmitted from the thin client server 300, from a media server 400, and a second data processing part 150 for decoding the multimedia data downloaded from the media server in the first data processing part, and then displaying the multimedia data on the display device 200.
