SUEDE-TONE ARTIFICIAL LEATHER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suede-tone artificial leather having good physical properties such as light fastness and color fastness to abrasion and exhibiting good color-developing property and provide a simple method for the pigment adsorption treatment for producing the artificial leather. SOLUTION: The suede-tone artificial leather is produced by raising at least one surface of a substrate composed of a fibrous material made of ultrafine fibers having a thickness of≤0.1 dtex and a polymeric elastomer included in the fibrous material. The ultrafine fiber is copolymerized with 1-10 mol% monomer containing a sodium sulfonate group and contains 0-8 mass% pigment in the fiber. A cationic pigment is directly adsorbed to the surface of the ultrafine fiber without interposing an auxiliary agent and the polymeric elastomer contains 2-20 mass% pigment.
