PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand mixer which enables the positive gathering of foods flowing outside a processing device such as a rotary cutter being biased inwardly by making a state of a path changeable as an intake port and a discharge port according to the types of the foods. SOLUTION: A processing device for processing the foods is mounted at the end part of a rotary shaft. To bear the rotary shaft, a protective cap having a plurality of hook parts surrounding the processing device is provided on the body extending in the direction of the end part of the rotary shaft or at the end part of an outer cylinder.
