PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint with improved durability to an axial load. SOLUTION: At a first opening part 22 in a socket 11 for slidably holding a ball part 31 of a ball stud 12 to a seat engagement part 21, a plug 14 is installed to prevent coming off of the ball stud 12 from the socket 11. The plug 14 is fixed by caulking by a fixing part 27 provided with caulking parts 25 and 26. Since an axial load of this ball joint 10 is received by the caulking parts 25 and 26, stress added to the fixing part 27 is restricted, thereby durability of the ball joint 10 to the axial load can be improved.
