<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a user must select a processing mode to be used for processing by providing an image forming apparatus with a plurality of processing modes. <P>SOLUTION: A slide switch 114 is formed to conceal the processing mode selected as a priority mode and present a non-priority mode in a non-priority mode display area 124. A 1st display part 112 displays the processing mode which is selected. By depressing a non-priority mode selection button 118, the non-priority mode is temporarily selected as the processing mode. When a start button 120 is depressed, the image forming apparatus 100 performs predetermined processing in the processing mode which is selected. Thus, just by depressing the button 120, the predetermined processing is performed in the processing mode set previously as the priority mode, and by depressing the button 120 after depressing the button 118, the predetermined processing is performed in the non-priority mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
