PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering sensor that can unify components by an appropriate correspondence according to the specifications of each type. SOLUTION: The steering sensor comprises an accommodation case 10; a first gear 2 that is arranged coaxially with a steering shaft 1 for rotation; a second gear 3 that is accommodated in the accommodation case 10 and is rotated and driven at a first acceleration ratio to the first gear 2; and a magnetic sensor 6 for detecting the rotational angle of the second gear 3. The magnetic sensor 6 outputs a three-phase pulse signal consisting of an A-phase pulse that is generated following the rotation of the second gear 3, a B-phase pulse whose phase differs from that of the A-phase pulse by 90 degrees, and a Z-axis pulse that is outputted once for each rotation of the second gear 3, and further the output resolution of the three-phase pulses is variable.
