TITANIUM OXIDE COMPOSITES, PROCESSES FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF, AND MEDICAL MATERIALS MADE BY USING THE SAME

A titanium oxide composite consisting of a polymeric substrate and titanium oxide which are chemically bonded with each other can be produced by introducing reactive functional groups to titanium oxide, introducing active groups reactive with the above reactive functional groups to a polymeric substrate, and reacting the resulting titanium oxide with the resulting polymeric substrate. Further, a titanium oxide composite can be produced also by reacting the functional groups of a polymeric substrate with titanium oxide itself without chemical pretreatment of titanium oxide.
