PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope for providing a superior ultrasonic image, preventing the occurrence of the flare, easily insertable into a patient, and always providing superior ultrasonic image and endoscopic image. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic endoscope has an ultrasonic wave transmitting receiving part for transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic wave on the tip of an inserting part inserted into a body cavity, and has a heterotropia surface provided with an objective lens system and an illumination lens system on this side of the ultrasonic wave transmitting receiving part.
