<p>An assembly dries a tissue paper web (1) as it passes in contact with a structured sieve (3) to a drying station. The drying station consists of a single suction drum (10) and a single press drum (11). The press drum (11) is a shoe press drum. The paper passes between the suction drum and press drum sandwiched between the sieve and a felt web. A suction unit (13) is located in the vicinity of the gap between the press drum and suction drum. In a preferred embodiment the suction station is sub-divided into two zones with different suction power.</p> |
