METHOD FOR CUTTING GLASS PANE FROM GLASS SHEET THAT IS CONTINUOUSLY PRODUCED AND DEVICE THEREFOR TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF GLASS PANE WITHOUT FAULT AND TO MINIMIZE AREA WHICH IS DISPOSED

PURPOSE: A method for cutting glass pane from a glass sheet that is continuously produced and a device therefor are provided to improve the quality of the glass pane without fault and to minimize the area which should be disposed by incorporating the fault part into a cutting line. CONSTITUTION: The method for cutting glass pane from a glass sheet that is continuously produced comprises: (a) investigating faults in the glass sheet(1) before cutting; (b) determining the area which is disposed due to faults contained therein; (c) determining the optimized cutting format based on the information obtained from above steps of (a) and (b), and cutting out crosscut pieces(2a-2e) from the sheet based on the optimized cutting format and then cutting out glass panes(3a-3e) wherein the cutting line for glass pane is determined to be closed to the area containing faults, thereby maximizing the possible number of glass panes which can be obtained from the crosscut pieces, while minimizing the area or width of glass which is to be disposed; (d) designing additional cutting formats considering possible fault at the edge; (e) cutting each end(4,5) from the crosscut pieces and probing faults at the edge part in an edge control device; (f) in case of the presence of faults at edge, selecting one of the additionally optimized cutting formats; and (g) cutting out crosscut pieces according to the selected cutting format.
