<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge light emitting device with heightened brightness and reduced cost-increase. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitted from phosphor layers 30, 31 arranged at both sides of a middle part of elongated first and second substrates 22, 23, is reflected by a manuscript 43 at opposite side of a discharging space of the second substrate 23, and the reflected light transmits the middle part of the elongated first and second substrates 22, 23, and condensed on a lens 44 arranged at the opposite side of the discharging space of the first substrate 22, and the condensed reflection light is detected by a sensor 46. By the above, brightness is increased by a light source of the phosphor layers integrally formed at both sides, and cost-increase is restrained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
