PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power factor correction power supply for supplying a DC power from an AC power source. SOLUTION: The power factor correction power supply includes an input stage power converter and an output stage power converter. The input stage power converter has a counter current converter and a power factor correction controller. The power factor correction controller can direct to perform a power factor correction and a voltage regulation in the operation of the counter current converter. An AC input voltage and AC input current are supplied from the power source to the counter current converter. The AC input voltage is converted into the DC boost voltage by the counter current converter. The DC boost voltage can be converted to a desired DC output voltage by an output stage power converter.
