<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible resistor trimming circuit to match resistor by using a programmable resistor material. <P>SOLUTION: This resistor trimming circuit is designed so that a reference resistor may be matched by trimming a matching resistor reversibly using the programmable resistor material for the matching resistor. For example, programmable resistor materials such as a metal-amorphous silicon metal material, phase shift material and perovskite material are typically used and those materials are capable of changing resistance reversibly and repetitively by impressed electrical pulse. The reversible resistor trimming circuit comprises a resistor bridge network of matching resistors and reference resistors, and gives input to a comparator circuit that generates comparison signals to show resistance differences. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
