PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold cathode field electron emission display device in which the effect of spacers on emitted electron orbits can be lessened, and the nonuniform brightness in the display plane is hardly caused. SOLUTION: A plurality of gate-electrodes composing a cathode panel CP installed in the cold cathode field electron emission display device, are composed of an assembled body of gate-electrode groups G<SB>GP</SB>each comprising N pieces of the gate-electrodes 13. Spacers 25 are disposed parallel to the gate-electrodes 13 every M groups of the gate-electrode groups G<SB>GP</SB>. A clearance GG between the gate-electrode groups G<SB>GP</SB>is wider than a clearance GU<SB>1</SB>between the gate-electrodes composing the gate-electrode groups G<SB>GP</SB>. Deflection electrodes 30 extend parallel to the gate-electrodes 13 over parts of an insulation layer 12 positioned between the gate-electrode groups G<SB>GP</SB>. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
