PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of sterilizing floating fungi with little power consumption. SOLUTION: The refrigerator is provided with an ion generator 5 having an electrode generating ions by application of voltage, and a controller 22 controlling operation of the ion generator 5. The electrode is arranged in a communication passage 6, and the controller 22 starts operation of the ion generator 5 after starting cold air supply of a cold air supplying means.
