<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic ferrite magnet having satisfactory squareness and high coercive force, and to provide a method for manufacturing the anisotropic ferrite magnet. <P>SOLUTION: The magnet has a basic composition expressed by A<SB>1-x</SB>R<SB>x</SB>Fe<SB>2n-y</SB>Co<SB>y</SB>O<SB>α</SB>. In the expression, A denotes at least one of Sr, Ba, and Ca and necessarily includes Sr, and R is at least one kind of La, Nd, and Pr and necessarily includes La. Moreover, y, x, n, and α satisfy the conditions 0.05≤y≤0.5, 1.1≤x/y≤1.6, 5≤n≤6, and α=15-20. Furthermore, in the anisotropic ferrite magnet, a ferrous ion of at least 0.12% in percentage by mass is contained and a squareness ratio Hk/iHc of magnetic characteristic is at least 85%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
