PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of operation by reducing the parts count of a switch assembly. SOLUTION: The switch assembly 10 includes a switch contact 14 , a snap-action type switch operating mechanism 16, a cam block 78 having a cam face 112 contacting a cam follower 122 thereto, and a manually movable push button 24. An upper and a lower power transfer pins 80 and 82 mutually extend in opposite directions, from the cam block 78 to the push button 24 and to the snap action mechanism 16. The cam block 78 and the power transfer pins 88 and 82 are formed into a single body. The upper power transfer pin 82 is connected to the push button 24 with a snap connection member 104. The switching operation mechanism 16 includes an upper actuator member 170 and a lower actuator member 172, and each actuator members 170 and 172 has a main member and a pair of support members.
