<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forecasting encode multichannel sound signals for transmitting sound data of which compressibility is improved. <P>SOLUTION: An addition circuit 1a calculates the sum signal (L+R) of stereo two-channel signals L, R and a subtraction circuit 1b calculates a differential signal (L-R). Differential arithmetic circuits 11D1, 11D2 calculate the differences of this time and the last time Δ(L+R), Δ(L-R).
