PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately adjust the force from a membrane corresponding to the engine vibration without raising the level of a higher harmonic component from a vacuum switching valve. SOLUTION: The vibration control device 10 is constituted as follows. When the piping length of a pressure feeding pipe 90 is set as LP, the inner diameter as RP, the distance from the pressure feeding pipe 90 to the membrane 74 as D, and the maximum value of a drive frequency F of the vacuum switching valve (VSV) 40 as F<SB>MAX</SB>, the piping length LP is set within the range specified by following formula so as to make the generation force from the membrane 74 during the duty control of the VSV 40 appropriate, and the inner diameter RP is set within the range of≥1mm and≤3 mm. Here, above formula is represented by (VS/4F<SB>MAX</SB>×0.7)-D < LP < (VS/4F<SB>MAX</SB>×1.3)-D (here, VS is velocity of sound). COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
