PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbicidal composition exhibiting excellent microbicidal effect on microorganisms causing stains or slime trouble in various kinds of industrial process water such as process water of the paper pulp manufacturing industry, industrial circulating cooling water or industrial wastewater. SOLUTION: The emulsion type microbicidal composition is characterized as comprising a cationic vesicle containing (A) a polyoxyethylene (average number of added mol E=6-15 mol) hardened castor oil derivative, (B) a cationic surfactant and (C) a microbicide in the emulsion type microbicidal composition.
