摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating volume data from boundary expression data and a program therefor in which the phase information of a triangular patch of an input shape can be used as it is, in a volume CAD, and a shape can be simplified as occasion demands. SOLUTION: An external data input means inputs boundary expression data of an object to a computer, and a data conversion means converts the boundary expression data to a triangular patch with phase. An association means divides a space into cubic cells the boundary planes of which are mutually orthogonally cross by an association means, and associates each triangle with the triangle in which the cell concerned is included. A dividing arrangement means divides the triangular patch with phase floating in the space by cell planes so that all triangles are arranged within the cells and on the boundaries. A ridge integration means performs ridge integration without a change in phase. A cell assignment means assigns each triangle and its apex to the cells in reference to index data of apexes, and a labeling means sets the attribute value of each cell. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
