FIELD: machine engineering, namely tools used for manual electric arc welding by means of consumable electrode. ^ SUBSTANCE: electrode holder includes electrically conducting sleeve provided with unit for connecting to welding cable. Sleeve has openings and slits for mounting electrode; pressure elastic rod, insulation handle and insulation cap. Sleeve is made of set of tubes. Tube in which pressure rod is arranged and tube in which cable is arranged together form unit used for connecting to welding cable. Insulation handle has flats along its whole length; said flats form in cross section outer contour being almost oval. Large axis of oval is parallel relative to plane of mounting electrode. ^ EFFECT: simplified process and enhanced efficiency of making electrode holders. ^ 3 dwg |
