SIGNAL RECORDER AND SIGNAL RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly set a time code to picked-up images of variable speed frame rate. SOLUTION: An included image signal DVb is separated from a signal CMS by variable frame rate in which a picked-up image is set in recording frame rate and supplied to a recording processing part 33. An identification signal DJ indicating an effective frame of the variable speed frame rate picked-up image is separated and supplied to a control part 40. A recording processing part 322 stores an image signal of the pickup image defined as the effective frame by the identification signal DJ in a storage processing part 322 based on a signal CU from the control part 40. A reading operation of the stored image signal is performed according to signal amount of the storage processing part 322. A time code processing part 33 sets the time code TCw to the picked-up image defined as the effective frame by the identification signal DJ based on a signal TCT from the control part 40.
