PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developing device hardly having an influence on an image by uniforming density in a film face without lengthening a cycle time even when a heat developing photosensitive film with a different size is continuously treated. SOLUTION: The heat developing device includes a film mounting means capable of loading the sheet-like heat developing photosensitive film with a plurality of the sizes, a conveying means for conveying the film on the film mounting means, an exposing means for forming a latent image with a light amount corresponding to image data on the conveyed film, and a heat developing means having a heating drum for heating for visualizing the film forming the latent image. Furthermore, it is also provided with a control means for correcting the light amount corresponding to the image data on the basis of temperature distribution characteristics predicting temperature distribution for a width direction position on the heating drum at each film size, temperature density information indicating relation of developing temperature of the film and the density and density distribution characteristics for the calculated width direction position when controlling an exposure amount of the exposing means.
