PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high intensity discharge lamp house giving uniform distribution of light quantity with high luminance on the irradiation face such as an exposure face or a printing face, and to provide a storage device of a high intensity discharge lamp house. SOLUTION: The high intensity discharge lamp house and the storage device of a high intensity discharge lamp house have a double lamp WL or a multilamp ML having first and at least second high intensity mercury lamps M<SB>1</SB>, M<SB>2</SB>having an inverted U-shape or a rectangular tubular body 5 or 6, and use the lamp house as a reflector.
