PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crusher capable of efficiently cutting driftwood or the like into a chip-like shape in a short time. SOLUTION: A crushing mechanism 6 and a cover member 7 are attached to the leading end part of a base member 4 so as to be shakable in a forward and rearward direction. The crushing mechanism 6 is constituted of an attaching case 9, the rotary drum 10 attached to the attaching case 9 in a rotationally driven state and a plurality of the crushing pawls 27, 28 and 29 attached to the outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum 10. The crushing pawls 27, 28 and 29 are formed into a plate shape and attached to the rotary drum 10 so as to obliquely extend, for example, at 45°with respect to the rotary axis direction of the rotary drum 10.
